While on a cruise I met a man who was Turkish and he was a very kind and respectful person. His kindness overwhelmed me and have never forgotten him. I email him every year for his birthday and try to keep intouch, but my busy schedule keeps us apart.
I too, would like a Turkish friend with whom to share experiences of life. She or he should be intelligent and have the ability to communicate on a number of levels. That would be marvellous and fun don't you think?

I was married to a wonderful Turkish man. He was a pathologist in the US. He was the kindest, sweetest person alive. He would do anything for anyone. He introduced me to Turkish food and culture which I miss very much since he passed away.

I just returned from Istanbul and had a wonderful trip. I'm curious as to why the items can be purchased cheaper on line than in the destination? The Turks are beautiful people but definitely after money!
Darn Great Site.
I lived in Turkey for almost 7 years total in both Ankara and Adana. Met some wonderful freinds there. And miss them dearly. One in particular. A Guy named Surahan who owned a recording shop in the TUnali district of Ankara. Place was called Adio Planet. If anyone know of his whereabouts. Please let me know: ken_meredith@morongo.com

I was going through a terribly dark time in my life when I decided to run away to Turkey. I am so glad that I did because the warmth and compassion of all the people around me - complete strangers - pulled me out of my depression. I will never forget that trip.

... he used to call me, then we changed to "baby". I met Mehmet (what other name could he have!
:-D )in February 2005. From that moment on, he became canim, hayatim, askim, my everything. And although we've been through good and bad times, I've never lost my hopes. But because of our lives and different religions, we couldn't make our dreams come true. And like a week ago he told me he would marry in the Summer :-(
I'm going to miss you, "BABY". I'll keep our memories for the rest of my life.
Im English and Ive lived in Alanya for many years. I love the poeple and the place. I have my own blog www.tinasturkeytales.blogspot.com and there I have funny stories info and sometimes just things I like....
I had a turkish instructor at school . I have never ever seen a more beautiful creature in my life.He had such amasing hazel/green eyes, pale skin and dark hair.
I would love to be introduced to the magic of turkish culture and history. maybe one day.
have just returned from a two week trip to Turkey. Did much haggling, some to our benefit but did let one gold charm get away in Bodrum. Does anyone have web addresses for the gold centers in Bodrum? I did not get a card but think I can track down the store. It was a stand along gold center...very bid. If not, can anyone suggest a web site for Turkish gold jewelry? I am not interested in the evil eye which is all I can find online.
Thanks
I made a friend in Istanbul in 1987 and had been in contact for long. Then I moved and perhaps she moved too and we got "LOST IN TRANSITION". She was my best International friend, I revisited Turkey to meet and would luv to do it again, only if I can find her. her name was BENSEN. I have now moved to Canada.
Can some one help me please?
